Duop Reath underwent surgery on Thursday morning to repair a stress fracture in his right foot, according to the Trail Blazers, who announced (via Twitter) that the third-year center will miss the remainder of the 2025/26 season.
According to the team, Reath is expected to make a full recovery.
It’s a tough blow for the 29-year-old, who will be a restricted free agent this summer if he’s tendered a qualifying offer. Although that QO is worth a fairly modest $3MM, it certainly doesn’t seem like a lock that Reath will receive it, given the modest role he’s played the past two seasons.
