Former NBA champion Kendrick Perkins named a landing spot for Giannis Antetokounmpo that not many have even looked at in recent months. The Milwaukee Bucks superstar is reportedly set to start fresh somewhere else.
Shortly after the report came out, a series of teams were mentioned as strong candidates to land Antetokounmpo. The Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat and Minnesota Timberwolves have been mentioned as the leaders of the race.

On Wednesday, however, Perkins named a Western Conference team that could give Antetokounmpo a strong chance to win another championship as soon as this season. During an appearance on “First Take,” the 2008 NBA champion floated the idea of Antetokounmpo joining the Houston Rockets.
Perkins noted that Giannis Antetokounmpo would be happy in a team in win-now mode, the Rockets would get another superstar to pair with Kevin Durant and the Bucks would get huge compensation to build their future.
“If you get Giannis to the H, with Kevin Durant and Ime Udoka? Boy it’s going to be hell in hot water,” Perkins said. “This is the trade that needs to happen. All those other trades, I don’t wanna hear about that. This is the one that makes all sides happy.”

Who would the Rockets trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo?
The retired center mentioned two of the best young players on the Rockets roster: Alperen Sengun and Tari Eason. Perkins noted that the Rockets hope to win with their young core at some point, but they have the chance to land a proven winner in Antetokounmpo.
He added that they could throw picks in the package, and the Bucks wouldn’t have any reason to turn down the offer. Perkins insisted that the three parts would be happy with the move.
