Why Shaq and Chuck couldn’t stop laughing about Cavs stunt

ATLANTA — Two former NBA stars made fans laugh after a strange dance during Wednesday’s Cavs game went viral. Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley, now TV analysts, joked about the moment on live television.

The laugh‑filled clip came from “Inside the NBA on ESPN,” a show where O’Neal and Barkley talk about basketball games and make funny comments. During a replay of the Cavaliers’ in‑game entertainment, O’Neal and Barkley stood up and acted out the strange dance they saw.

The dance first happened during a timeout in Wednesday’s Cavaliers game against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Cavs’ arena host and the team mascot wore pink tutus and used a large pink ball to move slowly in a dramatic way. The moment was set to the song “Hello” by Adele, making it even more unusual.

At the TV studio, Barkley pretended to perform the dance with a big exercise ball, and O’Neal joined in with his own goofy moves. The two used serious faces and exaggerated steps that made the hosts and viewers laugh.

Kenny Smith, another “Inside the NBA” co‑host, found the whole thing hilarious. At one point he joked about the way O’Neal held the ball between himself and Barkley. Ernie Johnson, the show’s anchor, also laughed and said he “didn’t need to see that.”

The Cavs won the game 129-99.
