The Atlanta Hawks announced that Johnson (left calf tightness) is out for their home clash against the Houston Rockets.
Considering that they are coming off a solid 116-107 win last Wednesday in Boston against the Celtics, the Hawks are mainly letting their franchise star to take a needed rest.
Johnson is enjoying a career season as the new centerpiece of Atlanta. In 45 games, he is averaging 22.9 points, 10.5 boards and 7.9 assists.
With Johnson out, the Hawks will look for an increased exposure and production from Corey Kispert and Luke Kennard.
