Former Lakers star enters rehab following latest incident

Lamar Odom has checked in on a rehabilitation facility to “reset and focus on his health.”

Former NBA star Lamar Odom has entered a rehabilitation facility following his recent arrest for DUI earlier this month.

According to his manager Gina Rodriguez (h/t Page Six), Odom made the "personal decision" to “reset and focus on his health.”

Odom has reportedly checked in on iRely Recovery, a drug and alcohol addiction treatment and rehabilitation center based in Sherwood Forest, Los Angeles.

“After a recent incident, he took a step back to reflect and address triggers he’s been dealing with,” Rodriguez said. “He’s taking full responsibility and choosing to be proactive about his wellbeing.”

“Lamar is grateful for the support and is committed to moving forward in a healthy, positive way,” she continued.

Odom received a DUI charge and two traffic citations after allegedly exceeding the speed limit by over 41 mph and failing to change lanes properly in Las Vegas.

The big man has a long history of substance abuse. His struggles began in his NBA career, dealing with drug problems, cocaine addiction and alcohol abuse.

A 14-year NBA veteran, Odom played for four different NBA teams. He notably won back-to-back championships with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2009 and 2010.

He is the 2010-11 Sixth Man of the Year.
