According to NBA insider Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints, the Cavs have been in constant discussions with the Lakers and other teams about a trade revolving around De'Andre Hunter.
Apparently, several people within the Cavs organization like the inclusion of Dalton Knecht on a potential Hunter deal.
Added by Siegel, the Lakers also have interest in adding Haywood Highsmith and Day'Ron Sharpe from the Brooklyn Nets.
Hunter has been consistently identified as the Cavs' main trade chip, as he struggled shooting the ball this season with just 42.0 percent from the field and 30.6 percent from threes.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that Knecht himself demanded a trade to leave the Lakers. The sophomore forward has seen his exposure and production dip this season, averaging 4.8 points and 1.6 rebounds in 12 minutes per game.
