The Premier League have confirmed that Arsenal’s game against Wolves, which is currently set for Saturday 21 March, will be brought forward by over a month should Arsenal reach the final of the Carabao Cup.
The Gunners have a 3-2 advantage over Chelsea heading into Tuesday’s second leg, and if they see out the tie, they will take on either Manchester City or Newcastle at Wembley on 22 March.
In that situation, our trip to Molineux will take place on Wednesday, 18 February at 8 pm.
That Arsenal have a gap in their schedule is down to securing automatic qualification to the Champions League round of 16.
As a heads up, BBC Sport’s Dale Johnson says that Arsenal’s match at home with Everton, which has already been moved from Saturday 14 March to Sunday 15 March for broadcast purposes, could move back to the Saturday if UEFA schedule the second leg of our Champions League round of 16 tie for Tuesday 17 March.
Unfortunately, clarification on that won’t come until very late, 27 February, once UEFA have held their draw.
