Max Dowman has signed a pre-contract agreement that will see him become a scholar in the summer and a professional when he turns 17 on December 31st, as confirmed by the club.
Dowman is already part of the first-team squad at the age of 16 and has made five competitive senior appearances.
The hugely talented prospect is the youngest ever player to feature for Arsenal in the Champions League, while he is the club’s second youngest player overall behind Ethan Nwaneri.
Dowman has usually played as a right winger for the first-team so far but is also hugely effective as a midfielder.
A product of the club’s Hale End academy, Dowman made his debut for Arsenal U18s at the age of 13 and also became the youngest ever player to feature in Premier League 2 at the age of 15. He is the youngest ever scorer in the UEFA Youth League after he found the net against Atalanta aged 14.
An England U19 international, Dowman is currently injured but is expected to return to action soon.
