On Wednesday, Tuttomercatoweb covered interest from Bologna and Lazio in Tromsø talent Jens Hjertø-Dahl, with Liverpool interest also pushed. Everton have now come forward for the midfielder.
Besiktas had offered €7m to sign the youngster, who has played 87 in all competitions for his club. He has also acquired experience of playing in Europe, appearing four times in the Conference League.
Tuttomercatoweb now report Everton’s interest, making it clear that the Toffees have ‘made moves’ for Hjertø-Dahl.
Liverpool have done the same, with Rangers previously interested. The report is certain about Bournemouth’s offer too, with the Cherries having put forward a ‘significant’ offer to land the 20-year-old in January.
Despite Everton coming forward for the player in the ‘last few hours’, he is currently very keen on a move to Besiktas.
Hjertø-Dahl is waiting for Tromsø and the Turkish club to finalise the agreement, with Serie A sides also likely to miss out. German side Union Berlin were also interested in the youngster but Besiktas’ offer has blown everyone out of the water.
The midfielder has played six times for the Norway U21s side so far in his career. In the 2025 campaign of the Norwegian top-flight, he scored four times and assisted seven times.
Eliteserien ended in November and the talent hasn’t played a game of football since then. That is something clubs should keep in mind before signing Hjertø-Dahl. Ideally, Everton would want a new signing to make immediate impact in the first-team.
As stated, Liverpool have also been linked in recent days and perhaps there’s an agent at work trying hype interest – real or otherwise – in their client.
