LaMelo Ball became just the fifth player in NBA history to tally 5,000 points, 1,500 rebounds, and 2,000 assists within their first 300 career games, joining the likes of Luka Doncic, Magic Johnson, Oscar Robertson, and Walt Frazier as the only players to do so.

Charlotte Hornets star LaMelo Ball reached a historic milestone during a game against the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday.

With his 22-point, 3-rebound, and 9-assist performance, he not only helped the Hornets secure a huge 123–121 road win, but he also became just the fifth player in NBA history to tally 5,000 points, 1,500 rebounds, and 2,000 assists within their first 300 career games, according to Hornets official account on X.

He joined an exclusive list of players that includes NBA greats such as Luka Doncic, Magic Johnson, Oscar Robertson, and Walt Frazier.

The list could also have included Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, but he misses out by 69 assists, having recorded 7,990 points, 2,018 rebounds, and 1,931 assists through his first 300 games.

This season, 24-year-old LaMelo is averaging 19.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 7.4 assists in around 27 minutes per game.

Meanwhile, the Charlotte Hornets are currently sitting 11th in the Eastern Conference with a 21–28 record.
