Arsenal defender Maldini Kacurri is reportedly set to secure a permanent move to Grimsby Town (via The Mirror).
If the deal goes ahead then it will be an opportunity for the 20-year-old to further establish himself in senior football.
Kacurri spent the majority of the first half of the season on loan at Morecambe in the National League, where he often stood out in a struggling team.
In addition, he also featured three times in League Two while on loan at Bromley last season having previously made his senior debut for Arsenal in the Carabao Cup.
Kacurri has physical qualities that are well suited to senior football but his chances of breaking into the first-team defence seemed limited, while Arsenal have another talented young centre-back making excellent progress in Marli Salmon.
Kacurri is now at the stage of his development where he needs to play regularly and he will hope that he will be able to play in higher divisions in due course.
Now an Albania senior international, Kacurri has developed very well since joining Arsenal four years ago having been released by Fulham.
He made 20 appearances for Arsenal at U21 level and is now ready to be fully focused on his senior career.
