Jeremie Frimpong picked up an injury early in the game against Qarabag in midweek, which forced him to be substituted. The full-back will be out of action against Newcastle, with the manager giving an update on an injury timeline.
Slot told the press: "Definitely not in tomorrow, out for a few weeks but not as bad as we thought. So something positive from something not so positive."

Liverpool have been without Ibrahima Konate over the past few games, as he took compassionate leave after the death of his father. Slot confirmed that the defender will be back against Newcastle, as he said: "Konate trains today, in the squad tomorrow."
