Man United vs Fulham Injury News: Five Players Ruled Out; Two In Doubt

Man United could be without three players for their game against Fulham on Sunday afternoon.

It has been a perfect start for Michael Carrick at Old Trafford, as the Man United boss has won two games from two, including last weekend’s 3-2 win against league leaders Arsenal at the Emirates.

He is now tasked with a very tough test against Fulham this weekend, with Marco Silva’s side coming to Old Trafford hopeful to continue their charge in trying to land European football. United themselves have their goals too, as Carrick hopes to get them into the Champions League.

But how are both teams doing injury-wise? United could be without three players for the game, whereas Fulham could be without four.

Fulham injury news

Fulham have two players ruled out, the first being midfielder Sasa Lukic, who has been out for a while with a hamstring injury. He is set to remain out until late February, so will miss this game, and the next few for the Cottagers.

Sriker Rodrigo Muniz is also out, as he is dealing with a hamstring injury. He is closer, and looks to be coming back to full fitness for an early February return. Sunday will come too soon for him though.

In terms of doubts, Kenny Tete is dealing with a hamstring injury, and is in training. He is currently being assessed ahead of the game on Sunday. Finally, new signing Oscar Bobb has been ill, so he may not be ready for his debut against United, so he is listed as a doubt too.

Man United injury news

United could be without three players on Sunday, the first being Patrick Dorgu, who suffered an unfortunate hamstring injury during what was a sensational performance against Arsenal. He is likely to miss several weeks.

Furthermore, Carrick has confirmed that Matthijs De Ligt isn’t available to return, but he is getting closer with his lower back issue. The United boss said: “I think it’s just a little bit slower than we’d hoped, but he’s certainly getting closer. And hopefully, in the next couple of weeks or so [he’ll be back], without putting the exact time.”

Finally, Joshua Zirkzee has also been ruled out, as he is out for a couple of weeks with a small knock. The earliest he’s expected to return is a week into February.
