Premier League winger who ‘can do special things’ admits he wants to play for Liverpool

Liverpool may have another transfer target to consider after this player’s comments

The Reds are considering new forward options as they plan for another busy summer transfer window. They spent more than £300 million on new attacking players last year but they are expected to splash the cash once again when this rollercoaster season ends.

One of the biggest talking points surrounding Anfield right now is whether Mohamed Salah will leave in the summer or see out his contract. While his performances have been a far cry from his usual standard this season, the Reds will still need to sign a replacement capable of performing at the level Salah is known for.

Brajan Gruda admits he wants to sign for Liverpool

Brighton and Hove Albion winger Brajan Gruda has revealed he would like to move to a club like Liverpool to take his career to the next level.

Bayern Munich have recently been linked with the 21-year-old but he remained tight-lipped over that, other than admitting they had shown interest in him ‘in the beginning’.

In a recent interview with Sky Sports Germany, Gruda said: “My biggest dream is to play in the Champions League and be a full international. I want to play for a top club like Bayern, Real, Barcelona or Liverpool.”

Gruda is not yet a permanent fixture in Fabian Hurzeler’s starting 11 but the manager still thinks highly of him and what he can achieve moving forwards.

Brajan Gruda ‘can be a game-changer for every team in the world’

Gruda earned plenty of praise earlier this season when his stoppage time goal against Manchester City was enough to secure a statement win for Brighton.

Speaking after the match, Hurzeler admitted he believes the 21-year-old can ‘be a game-changer for every team in the world’ if he continues to train well and stay consistent on the pitch.

“We saw it, I think, his potential last season,” the Seagulls boss continued. “He has special things inside of him. He can do special things, he can change the game in one situation, and now it’s important that he proves it consistently. He proved it against Oxford, he proved it now [against City].”

Gruda is under contract with Brighton until 2028 but with his latest admission about wanting Champions League football, clubs could start to come knocking ahead of the summer.
