Already without Tyler Herro, Heat also rules out Norman Powell on Saturday vs. Bulls

The Miami Heat could be without three starting guards for Saturday night’s matchup against the Chicago Bulls at Kaseya Center.

The Heat has already been playing without starting guards Tyler Herro (right costochondral injury to the ribs) and Davion Mitchell (left shoulder sprain), and now a third starting guard has been added to the list.

Norman Powell has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against the Bulls (8 p.m., FanDuel Sports Network Sun) because of personal reasons after playing in 10 straight games. Powell, who will miss his sixth game of the season, recorded 21 points in 30 minutes in Thursday’s win over the Bulls in Chicago.

In addition, Herro will miss his ninth straight game because of a rib injury on Saturday. It will also mark the 39th game that Herro has been unavailable for through the first 50 games of the Heat’s season.

Mitchell is listed as doubtful for Saturday’s contest after missing eight of the last 10 games with his shoulder issue.

Along with already ruling out Powell and Herro, the Heat also remains without Terry Rozier (not with team) on Saturday.

For the Bulls, they appear to be giving starting center Nikola Vucevic the night off on Saturday. He’s listed as doubtful for the game due to rest.

The Bulls also listed Josh Giddey (left hamstring injury management), Emanuel Miller (migraine), Jalen Smith (right calf tightness) and Coby White (right calf injury management) as questionable for Saturday’s game. Giddey was unavailable for Thursday’s loss to the Heat at United Center because of his hamstring issue.

The Bulls already ruled out Zach Collins (toe sprain), Noa Essengue (left shoulder surgery), Tre Jones (left hamstring strain).

The Heat and Bulls will also play each other for a third straight game on Sunday at Kaseya Center.
