Doncic (ankle) will play, but the wait continues for Reaves (calf) in his potential return for LA.
The Los Angeles Lakers have finally determined the final status of their two franchise stars ahead of Friday's game in D.C.
Los Angeles Lakers / Schedule
Speaking to reporters before their showdown against the Wizards, JJ Redick revealed that Luka Doncic (ankle) is set to go.
Doncic was initially listed as questionable with left ankle soreness after he infamously sustained the injury in the Lakers' Wednesday loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Slovenian star had an injury scare after accidentally falling from the Cavs' elevated court.
Meanwhile, Austin Reaves (calf) will remain unavailable. But he's trending towards making his highly anticipated comeback at some point in the Lakers' remaining road trip.
He has been out since Christmas Day after suffering from a significant left calf strain.
With Reaves still out, Marcus Smart is expected to remain in the starting lineup for the Lakers.
The stop in Washington serves as the sixth in Los Angeles' grinding eight-game road trip. They'll play New York (Sunday) and Brooklyn (Tuesday) next.
