Luka Doncic overtakes Giannis Antetokounmpo with massive 2020s NBA milestone

With a dominant 37 points against the Wizards, Luka is now the leading scorer of the 2020s decade in the league.

Friday night is simply a historic one for Luka Doncic.

Los Angeles Lakers / Schedule

After reestablishing himself as the only player since the 1996-97 season to have a 25-point triple-double in just the first half, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar further put himself atop the scoring leaderboard of this decade.

Finishing with 37 points in the Lakers' 142-111 road demolition against the Washington Wizards, Luka officially became the leading scorer of the 2020s.

He just surpassed Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo for the No. 1 spot.

With Giannis sidelined until March with a calf injury, Doncic is set to widen his lead over the Greek star. He is leading the NBA in scoring this season with a 33.6 points average per game.
