Blues boss Liam Rosenior has opened up and told Chelsea fans the club could be set for a very busy last few days of the transfer window, hinting that a few players could head to the club.
The January transfer window has been open for weeks now, and despite all the rumours, despite all the speculation, Chelsea have not managed to bring anybody to the club that will have the ability to make an immediate impact on the side, but they have let a few players leave on loan and on a permanent basis.
There are alot of rumours about players could buy before the deadline on Monday, and now Rosenior has come out and sent a very exciting transfer message to the Blues fans, hinting that there could be a few faces showing up at the club in the coming days.
WHAT HAS ROSEIOR SAID?
“The priority is to make the squad as strong as possible for the rest of the season,” Rosenior said ahead of Chelsea’s latest London derby against West Ham when asked about transfers.
“That’s always the priority. I’ve been a manager long enough to know things can change very, very quickly in the January market in terms of who’s out there, and the situation with our players.”
Asked whether centre-back was a key priority to strengthen before the deadline, he replied: “It is a possibility. Every area. My job and the guys’ job is to try to strengthen every area.
“If we see something, I know the guys are willing to do it. I don’t want to bring in players for the sake of it. There is a possibility it could be busy. There is a possibility it could be quiet.”
DO CHELSEA NEED TO IMPROVE THE SQUAD?
The Blues have a massive squad, they have so many players that can play in a number of positions, but Rosenior needs to sign a few stars that are his signings, that want to play he wants to play.
Chelsea do need need to add to the side, that is for sure, but if they are able to get a couple of real quality players, it would give them a real good chance of some silverware this season and getting that Champions League place for next season.
