Arsenal transfer news: Gunners agree defender deal–Arsenal target makes transfer admission–Arteta’s transfer mistake

Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal transfer news from icfootballnews that you guys may have missed…

Jeremie Aliadiere says he was ‘disappointed’ to see Ethan Nwaneri leave Arsenal on loan this January as the youngster has something special that Mikel Arteta’s squad is ‘lacking’.

Nwaneri struggled to nail down regular minutes for the high-flying ARSENAL in the first half of the campaign, failing to make a single Premier League start under Mikel Arteta, and the decision was made to allow him to leave on loan until the end of the season.

A number of clubs came calling for the young man, but in the end, a move to French giants Marseille was the one that Nwaneri wanted to make and just last weeks, he completed that switch to link-up with Roberto Do Zerbi’s men.

Just three days after touching down in France, the teenager would go on to enjoy a dream debut as he doubled Marseille’s lead with a solo wonder strike in a 3-1 victory over Lens, and showed Arsenal just what they are missing with his exciting performance.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID ABOUT NWANERI?

Now, former Gunners star Aliadiere has opened up and revealed that he is disappointed to see that Nwaneri left the club on loan: ‘From an Arsenal point of view, I’m disappointed to see him go because I really believe that what he’s got is something that we haven’t got,’ ex-Arsenal forward Aliadiere told The Sun.

‘Somebody that quickly wants to go forward, take on two, three players, go and shoot, which I think we are lacking at the moment.

‘His game, the pace, the power, and like I said, he takes players on. I think for Marseille, which is a top club in France, he is going to be a success.’

‘If I could have given him any advice before, I would have told him exactly what he has done, which is to go on loan for six months, but go on loan to a top club in a top division and abroad in particular,’ the Frenchman added.

‘I do feel that Ligue 1 will probably suit him better and it will be a massive success there. I have got no doubt about it.’

COULD NWANERI LEAVE ON A PERMANENT DEAL IN FUTURE?

Look, Nwaneri is one of the most exciting young players in the game and needed to play, this loan move should help his development over the next few months or so, and he may even get to stay for next season too.

ARSENAL dont want to lose the lad on a permanent basis and will give him a future shot, he is only 18 -years of ag, so they may feel that some loan time out like William Saliba will help.

JOELINTON DECISION MADE

Newcastle United star and long-term Arsenal transfer target Joelinton is not considering leaving Newcastle any time soon despite two years remaining on his contract and all the rumours surronding his future.

ARSENAL are sitting pretty at the very top of the Premier League, but are now only four points clear of Manchester City, as they seek to win their first League title since 2004, but rumours about players being signed are still in the media.

Arsenal were heavily linked with a move for Joelinton a few transfer windows ago as Mikel Arteta is a huge admirer of the Newcastle star, but he has never managed to tempt him away from the Toon, and has instead opted to make moves for other targets.

However – ARSENAL are always linked with a move for Joelinton everytime a transfer window opens up, especially as the midfielder only has two years left on his current contract with the Toon and has been linked with moves away from the club once again.

However – it seems that Joelinton has made up his mind about where he would like to be for the foreseeable future, as he has now come out and revealed that he has no plans to leave Newcastle anytime soon – He said: “I want to win more trophies at Newcastle. That’s my goal and dreams.

“It was a great feeling to win the Carabao Cup last season but now we want more and I want to put my name in the history of the club, helping them to grow and become one of the best teams in the world.”

IcFootballnews Says…

Joelinton is a solid performer for Newcastle, he works so hard for the club and has become a real fans favourite, he is very happy at the club and that is why he has never left for a bigger club and more of a chance to win some trophies.

The transfer windows will always link him with a move away, especially as the big clubs and sides from Saudi Arabia are always interested, but he will surely sign that new contract when talks are opened up.

However – football is a funny thing and if the right amount of money is offered, the Toon board may be tempted into letting Joelinton leave the club, anything can happen in the transfer windows.

ARSENAL AGREE DEFENDER DEAL

There have been some rumours in the media this week which have now claimed that Arsenal have agreed a deal to sell young defender Maldini Kacurri to League Two side Grimsby.

The transfer window has been open for a few weeks now, there has been alot of transfer rumours regarding ARSENAL and who they could acquire, but despite all the speculation, it has been a pretty boring window for Gunners fans to witness.

There has been more players leave the club than come in, and with only a few days left of the transfer window left, the Gunners are still working hard on getting some of the fringe players in the side out of the club before the deadline closes on Monday.

Now it seems that Arsenal have made the big decision to let one of the academy players leave the club, as Kacurri is a player that the Gunners have allowed to leave the club in the coming days.

WHAT IS THE LATEST?

Kacurri is a London-born Albania international who impressed on loan in the National League at Morecambe in the first half of the season. He has made one appearance for Arsenal as a substitute in their 5-1 Carabao Cup win over Bolton last season.

The 20-year-old will exit on a permanent basis in what will be the second deal done by Arsenal in the January transfer window after Ethan Nwaneri joined Marseille on loan.

ARSENAL have a sell-on clause as part of the deal.

GOOD MOVE FOR KACURRI TO MAKE?

At this stage of his career, the young man needs to be playing more regular football, he needs to make a name for himself and forge a long and successful footballing career, so this is the right move.

His dreams of playing for Arsenal are over, now it is time to make a name for himself in the lower Leagues and then possibly work his way back upto the Premier League in the coming seasons, he is young enough and talented to do that.

But as we said, this move suits everyone.
