Report: Three clubs approach Liverpool seeking to agree deadline deal

Liverpool have multiple clubs seeking to do a deadline-day deal with them. This could move fast.

Liverpool are short on time to complete any transfers in this January window. The deadline is approaching and thus far, the Reds haven’t done much of anything.

A few youth transfers have come in, though nothing to affect the senior team anytime soon. A deal for Andy Robertson nearly went through that would have sent him to Tottenham Hotspur but that now appears to be off the table.

So will they actually get anything done? Admittedly, the chances look increasingly slim and Liverpool will likely have the same first-team squad for the second half of the season as they did for their under-performing first half.

It does sound as though some youth players could move on, though.

Liverpool could sell Keyrol Figueroa

Keyrol Figueroa’s future is up in the air right now. The prolific youth striker has plenty of interest in him and suggestions are that Liverpool are ready to sell.

Honduran outlet La Prensa reports that FC Porto are interested in Figueroa, whose contract expires in June. But it’s MLS duo New York Red Bulls and Charlotte FC who have approached Liverpool, along with Elche in Spain.

Figueroa would like to remain in Europe, it seems, but he’s got plenty of interest here. His chances in Liverpool’s senior setup look to be about zero with such talent ahead of him, but we imagine the Reds will try to secure some sort of option or clause by selling him before his contract ends.
