Liverpool fans have so far had very little to get excited about in the 2026 January transfer window, which comes to a close on Monday.
The Reds watched on as summer target Marc Guehi was signed by Manchester City instead this winter.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are yet to make a first-team signing, with a couple of youngsters the only additions so far this month.

The transfer window is set to slam shut at 7pm UK time on Monday, February 2, and there is still time for deals to be done.
On that front, we have taken a look at what a dream end to the window would look like for Liverpool.
Centre-back and right-back arrive at Liverpool
The most glaring issue Liverpool are facing right now is their depleted backline.
Conor Bradley and Giovanni Leoni are already both ruled out for the remainder of 2025/26.

Meanwhile, Jeremie Frimpong and Joe Gomez, the latter of whom was covering two positions this season, are currently sidelined with exact return timeframes yet to be provided.
It means Arne Slot will probably once again be playing midfielders in his backline against Newcastle United.
So, it would make so much sense for FSG to stop sitting on their hands and add two new defenders to their ranks.
Right-back is the most problematic area, given there are no senior options fit right now.
On that front, Denzel Dumfries has been mooted as an option in the closing days of the window.
The Dutchman is an attack-minded full-back with a somewhat similar profile to Frimpong and would be an ideal option for the remainder of the season.
As for the centre-back position, Liverpool want to try and sign Jeremy Jacquet in the summer, reports have suggested.
Chelsea are looking to get a deal done this month. But given the Reds only have two fit stoppers right now, it would make sense for Liverpool to avoid the same mistake they made with Guehi and sign Jacquet now, rather than losing another target to a Premier League rival.

Liverpool can’t let Curtis Jones or Andy Robertson leave
Given the lack of signings in January so far and the injury issues facing Slot, Liverpool simply can’t let any first-team players leave.
The Merseyside outfit are already having to rely heavily on Academy players and two goalkeepers to fill their bench every gameweek.
Andy Robertson has been linked to Tottenham Hotspur this month, while Curtis Jones to Inter Milan has been mooted in the last 24 hours.
Neither player gets into Slot’s best XI at the moment, but the depth issues mean they are still incredibly valuable assets and must be kept hold of.
