Liverpool have no fit senior right-backs after injuries to Joe Gomez and Jeremie Frimpong.
Gomez and Frimpong are out against Newcastle United, leaving Arne Slot with limited options.
Calvin Ramsay could start, while there are also several midfield options who could drop into the back four ahead of the Academy talent.

But with the transfer window still open for a few more days, Liverpool have looked at right-backs.
On that front, it has emerged in the last day that Denzel Dumfries of Inter Milan has been mooted.
Fabrizio Romano gives Denzel Dumfries update
There have been mixed reports about Liverpool signing Dumfries since he was first linked.
Now, the usually reliable Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the situation.

It’s probably not the news Liverpool fans would be hoping for, however, with a deal not looking imminent.
He said: “Liverpool today had a conversation with Inter a club-to-club conversation with Inter. Very good relationship. So from what I’m told Liverpool asked about the situation of Denzel Dumfries.
“The release close is not valid in January. The clause around 20/25 million euros is only valid in the summer.
“But the understanding on this story is that Liverpool asked about the player and the injury situation. At the moment, Dumfries is still expected to be out for weeks.
“Should not be a long one. Could be around 10 days, 15, 20. This is the expectation. So Liverpool got this information, but at the moment Liverpool didn’t send any bid, didn’t start any negotiation.
“My understanding is that Liverpool could potentially only consider this possibility due to the injury on a loan deal and Inter don’t want to do a loan deal for Dumfries. So at the moment there is nothing into it. There is just conversation club to club. Let’s see if Liverpool decide to attack, but at the moment, it’s just a normal conversation.”

Liverpool could have right-back option already
If a deal for Dumfries or another right-back doesn’t come to pass in the coming days, Slot will have to get creative when it comes to covering for Frimpong, Bradley and Gomez.
Wataru Endo, Dominik Szoboszlai and Curtis Jones have already featured at full-back this season.
However, Slot’s comments on Academy players may finally mean we see Ramsay given a more prominent role.
The 22-year-old is yet to feature in the Premier League this season, but if Liverpool are ever going to start using him properly, that time is surely now.
