Arsenal defender Will Sweet has joined Dagenham & Redbridge on a youth loan deal until February 26th, as confirmed by the [club](https://www.arsenal.com/news/will-sweet-joins-dagenham-redbridge-loan).
The centre-back, who signed his first professional contract last summer, will link up with the National League south side.
Sweet, a Wales youth international who is a Hale End product, has made 20 appearances for Arsenal U21s after breaking into the side last season.
He has also featured for the U19s and previously made 38 appearances for the U18s, often captaining the side.
A player with an impressive passing range, this loan spell could prove to be hugely beneficial for Sweet’s development.
This is another example of Arsenal making use of a youth loan, with Harrison Dudziak, Daniel Oyetunde and Cam’ron Ismail having also experienced such moves earlier this season.
