Former 12-year NBA veteran and 2007 NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion Gerald Green shared a surprising reason why he primarily wore No. 14 on his jersey throughout his career.

During a livestream with popular American internet personality Neon, Green revealed that the reason he wore No. 14 was because he only has four fingers on his right hand and is missing one.
"Because I got four fingers and I'm missing one, and it's on my dominant hand," Green explained.
During his 12-year NBA career, Green played for eight different teams, most notably the Houston Rockets, Boston Celtics, Phoenix Suns, and Miami Heat.
His best season came in the 2013-14 season with the Suns, when he averaged 15.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.5 assists.
Throughout his career, he played a total of 658 games and averaged 9.7 points and 2.5 rebounds per game.
