Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said Steph Curry’s knee injury is not a major issue.
After the loss, Kerr sounded optimistic, but they have not yet provided an official update.
“I think he’s OK,” Kerr said. “I don’t think it’s anything major, but we’ll have an update [Saturday].”

That update should be coming soon. The 37-year-old superstar suffered a knee injury in the third quarter on Friday against the Detroit Pistons.
The Warriors’ superstar suffered the injury in the late third quarter when Curry stumbled while making a layup as he was being fouled. Curry stayed in the game after suffering the injury, but was later subbed out and did not return.
Prior to the injury, Curry had been listed day-to-day due to a knee issue. That’s been the case since Jan. 24. Kerr was blunt about the superstar’s injury, saying it’s been bothering Curry as of late.
“It’s been nagging him recently,” Kerr said.

The long-time Warriors guard has struggled with injuries this season. Earlier in the season, Curry missed five games due to a quad contusion and muscle strain in late November.
At the time of Curry’s quad contusion and muscle strain, Kerr admitted that he was relieved to hear that Curry’s injury isn’t too serious.
“Better than an ankle or a knee,” Kerr said at the time, per The Athletic’s Anthony Slater.
Curry has had a solid season, earning yet another All-Star nod while averaging 27.2 points per game, 3.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists, while shooting 46.8 percent from the field and 39.1 percent from three in 39 games.
The last thing the Warriors need is to lose another star for a lengthy period. The Warriors are already without fellow All-Star Jimmy Butler for the rest of the season due to a torn ACL he suffered a few weeks ago.
Curry has missed 11 games this season.
