Trent Alexander-Arnold has given fans a glimpse of his recovery progress on social media as he edges closer to making a comeback from injury at Real Madrid.
The ex-Liverpool ace has been sidelined with a rectus femoris injury in his left quadriceps since December and is yet to make an appearance under new boss Alvaro Arbeloa. The right-back is tipped to return next month and has resumed training with the Spanish giants.
Reports from Spain suggested that Arbeloa had informed Alexander‐Arnold that he doesn't feature in his long-term plans, but these claims have been refuted. Despite only being in Madrid for half a season, the move hasn't lived up to Alexander‐Arnold's expectations.
His decision to swap his childhood club for a new adventure with Real ahead of the 2025/26 season was met with much controversy.
He joined the Spanish side for £10million before last summer's Club World Cup, but injuries have restricted him to just 11 appearances across all competitions this term.
Alexander-Arnold is now back in training and eager to put his injury woes behind him, sharing snapshots of his training sessions on Instagram as he works towards regaining full fitness.

His recent injury followed a hamstring problem, sparking concerns not only about his future at Real but also about his prospects of securing a spot in England's World Cup squad this summer.
Despite the furore over his exit last year, Alexander‐Arnold was given a heartfelt send-off by Liverpool fans after his 354th appearance in May.
"He deserved it. I am very happy for him and everyone in and around the club that things worked out the way they did," head coach Arne Slot expressed at the time.
"It went brilliantly when our fans are together. How brilliant they were before the Tottenham game, during the Tottenham game.

"Afterwards I don't think you see as many special celebrations as you saw four weeks ago. I don't think you see many celebrations like we had them today.
"It's no surprise to me that they (the fans) were brilliant again today as they were throughout the whole season, as they were towards Trent."
