It was the ultimate Jekyll and Hyde performance from Chelsea as they produced late heroics again, this time to beat West Ham.
Liam Rosenior likely couldn’t believe what he was seeing when his side came into the break 2-0 down, and immediately rang the changes.
Joao Pedro and Marc Cucurella both came off the bench to great effect, finding the net to drag the Blues back into the game.

Wesley Fofana compared to Kevin de Bruyne during Chelsea vs West Ham
The other half-time substitute also proved critical for Chelsea. Wesley Fofana’s incredible cross was perfect for Pedro to head home from.
The ability to deliver the ideal cross for an attacker is not necessarily what the Frenchman is in the side for, but it was certainly needed for a Chelsea side very much lacking in ideas at that point.
Gary Neville was particularly impressed by Fofana’s delivery, comparing the cross to something that would be seen of former Blue Kevin de Bruyne.
He said while commentating for Sky Sports: “That’s where the class lies in this goal. The acceleration, and that, it’s De Bruyne like. To be able to dig out that cross and just put it into that area, absolutely brilliant.”

Liam Rosenior learns crucial lesson in Chelsea win
After the tough outing against Napoli in the Champions League, it was to be expected that Rosenior would rotate his side ahead of facing a relegation-threatened Premier League side.
Garnacho is having a horrible time of things…

He was in for a shock though from West Ham’s performance, and a number of his players let him down too. Alejandro Garnacho disappointed Stamford Bridge with his performance.
With how much of an impact the subs made, Rosenior has learnt that rotation is going to be hard to do with the quality that English football possesses.
It was where Enzo Maresca fell down during his time in charge, and the current boss will be hoping the same fate doesn’t hit him in the future.
