What Liam Rosenior told his Chelsea players at half-time that changed everything

Chelsea pulled off an incredible comeback against West Ham United, as a late Enzo Fernandez goal sealed all three points.

Liam Rosenior has had his doubters at Chelsea, but that second-half performance was something special after such a dismal first-half display.

It was an unusally quiet game for Moises Caicedo, but the triple substitution was magical.

Marc Cucurella, Joao Pedro and Wesley Fofana changed the game. All three players played a part in at least one of the goals, with Fofana teeing up Pedro and Cucurella scoring one of his own.

This genuinely feels like a performance that hasn’t been seen at Chelsea in years.

And now we get a glimpse into what Liam Rosenior said to his Chelsea players at half-time.

Inside Liam Rosenior’s half-time Chelsea team talk vs West Ham

Liam Rosenior earned his money’s worth with his half-time team talk against West Ham, just moments after boos rang around Stamford Bridge.

It all started with the triple substitution, showing that Rosenior isn’t afraid to change things when issues arise, which is a sign of a very good manager.

And the advice he gave his players further supports this.

Marc Cucurella was speaking to Sky Sports after the game and said this.

“At half-time we speak, in the end its about our mentality and desire we showed in the second half, we are very happy.

“[Liam Rosenior] said it’s about us, if we go to press, want the ball, play with confidence, we will get the chances to win.

“We have very good players, a very good team, since the start of the second half we showed a lot of energy and desire. If we play with this energy we are able to win at lot of games.”

Who do you have more question marks over as a Chelsea player?🤔

Liam Rosenior will have concerns over a couple of players

The Chelsea boss will have had faith in the players he had on the pitch, but a couple of them failed to repay the favour.

Alejandro Garnacho gave the ball away 10 times in 32 minutes, which resulted in the Chelsea fans booing and showing their frustration.

He wasn’t the only one, though, as Benoit Badiashile looked like he was on a different planet. Constantly a second behind the play and lacked decision-making.

Maybe Rosenior will think twice about resting so many players next time round.
