Tyler Bilodeau is in the midst of a breakout senior season. He can score from all levels of the floor. Averaging 18.2 points and 5.4 rebounds per game and doing so efficiently from the floor. Shooting 52.4/44.7/86 from the floor on his splits. Those are each well above average for college basketball players. Putting him in talks to possibly be in the 2026 NBA draft. He started the season out with undrafted priority free agent consideration with an invite to Summer League. He is now in second round, talks with his ability to space the floor.

Bilodeau’s natural position in college has been power forward. He has also been able to play the center position. But college is much different than the NBA. Is he fast enough to play the four in the pros or big enough to play the five? That question will remain as the draft starts to get closer. The combine will also give him a better opportunity to go against other talented players. But for Bilodeau it is all there for him to succeed as he can score the basketball very well.
The NBA has become a 3-point shooting barrage. It is crazy the number of 3-point shots these teams take on a nightly basis now. The game has really changed and if you can hit that shot, you become an asset for a team. You look at another player like Skyy Clark, that early in the 2000’s wouldn’t be as effective. But now, if you have that range, teams will covet that. NBA teams also run more zone now and force you to shoot those shots to break it down.

Bilodeau has 10 games left in this season and then the Big Ten tournament and possibly March Madness to make his case. It will give him the opportunity to be drafted in 2026. Since coming back from injury, he has quickly established that he is the best player on this Bruins team at scoring the basketball. He will be a crucial part in what UCLA accomplishes this season. As they have turned around their team after a rough skid. Bilodeau is a threat every night to drop 20 and can do so in a variety of ways.
