Two of the NBA’s premier franchises will go head-to-head when the New York Knicks host the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night.
It will be the first of two meetings on the season between the two teams, who will also meet again in L.A. in early March.
LeBron James will play vs. Knicks on Sunday night
Lakers star forward LeBron James has previously referred to Madison Square Garden as his favorite place to play, and James will get another opportunity to perform in front of fans in the world's most famous arena on Sunday night.
James isn't listed on the official injury report for the game against the Knicks, so he'll be out on the court for the contest.
On the season, James has appeared in 30 games for the Lakers and posted averages of 21.9 points, 6.6 assists, 5.8 rebounds and 1.1 steals per performance.
