Chelsea fans owe an apology to attacker after what they saw during win vs West Ham - opinion

Chelsea fans saw the best and the worst of their players during the fiery London derby at Stamford Bridge against West Ham.

The Blues were booed off at half-time by their own supporters after they were 2-0 down at the break, with Robert Sanchez having to calm down fans as they departed from the pitch.

They had every right to be annoyed, especially with how the Blues had shown very little in the final third before the substitutions sorted them out.

Chelsea fans owe Pedro Neto an apology after Chelsea vs West Ham

Stamford Bridge let Garnacho know they didn’t approve, however some of those very supporters will have been part of the group asking for a change out wide.

Pedro Neto has been a near ever-present under both Enzo Maresca and Liam Rosenior this season, although has come to the frustration of many fans.

It has been nearly two months since the Portugal international scored for the Blues, however how the performance changed upon his introduction is a sign he is in the squad for a reason.

Many Chelsea fans have asked for Estevao Willian to feature more, however he was unavailable against the Hammers due to personal reasons.

Neto already impressing Rosenior

Despite not scoring since the new manager took over, it has not taken long for the Englishman to be won over by the winger.

Garnacho is having a horrible time of things…

Is this Liam Rosenior’s biggest mistake so far today?

Rosenior praised Neto heavily after the defeat to Arsenal, and it can be expected he is going to be recalled for that fixture.

The Portugal international is clearly not the flashiest winger. But he is hard-working, always looking to go towards goal and causing issues for his full-back.

Chelsea fans should remember this game against West Ham when they are calling for too many changes in attack in the future.
