Chelsea have until the deadline on Monday evening to complete any final bits of incoming or outgoing business

Chelsea won 3-2 against West Ham on Saturday evening. The Blues fought back from 2-0 down to beat the Hammers at Stamford Bridge. Joao Pedro, Marc Cucurella and Enzo Fernandez got their goals.

Liam Rosenior was picked as their head coach earlier this winter. He was appointed following Enzo Maresca’s exit and he has made a positive impression so far. The ex-Strasbourg man has managed the likes of Derby County and Hull City in the past.

Chelsea winger Tyrique George eyed by Everton

Everton have made a loan to buy ‘offer’ for Chelsea winger Tyrique George, according to Sky Sports. The source suggests ‘talks’ are ongoing between the two clubs regarding a deal and he is ‘expected’ to leave before the deadline at 7pm on Monday. Football Insider claim Sunderland are also keen.

George, 19, has been on the books of his current club for his whole career to date. He has risen up through their academy and has been a regular for them at various different youth levels. The England youth international made his first-team debut back in August 2024 in a Europa Conference League clash against Servette.

He has since made 37 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions, 11 of which have come this season, and he has chipped in with six goals. However, his game time has dried up over recent times. Therefore, a potential departure is now on the cards.

What now for Tyrique George at Chelsea amid Everton interest?

It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Chelsea cut ties with George. Rosenior has recently said: “The honest answer is I don't know (if he will leave). Tyrique is a player of immense potential who I've been aware of for a long time. He's been unfortunate. The first game against Charlton, he travelled with the group. He wasn't in the group. Yesterday he was on the bench. I've said this to the players, your background, whether you're an academy player, whether you've been signed for £100m, it's about what you do in training.

"I have to say his attitude to training and what I've seen his attitude in the group has been top class. So who's to know? A lot of things have to come together for a player to leave. You need the right interest. You need the right offer. It needs to be right for the player. At the moment, I've had nothing in terms of Tyrique, and I continue to work with him in the group."

Everton will see George as someone to bolster their attacking department. If he joins them, he would give them more competition and depth at the top end of the pitch. In addition, he would give them something different going forward under David Moyes.

Chelsea’s decision to appoint Rosenior has worked out well for them so far. Eyebrows were raised after he came in for Maresca but he has adapted well to his new role. His side will be eager to keep their momentum going for as long as possible.
