Manchester United loanee Marcus Rashford has responded to his latest goal for Barcelona amid uncertainty over his long-term future at the club. The forward is on a season-long loan with the Spanish giants, with the club having a £26 million option to make the move permanent.
However, latest reports suggest that Michael Carrick will be keen on bringing Rashford back to United and integrate him back into the squad, should he take the managerial position on a permanent basis.
It is also reported that the player himself would rather remain in Spain. His latest social media post indicated that could be the case.
Rashford was on the scoresheet in Barcelona’s 3-1 away win over Elche on Saturday, scoring the club’s third goal of the game to seal victory.
Taking to Instagram after the match, Rashford posted pictures from the match, along with a caption reading: “Good night in Elche. 10 goals in blaugrana feels good.”

The goal was Rashford’s second in as many games, following his strike in Wednesday night’s 4-1 win over Copenhagen in the Champions League. Ahead of that match, the England international admitted that he’s taken a bit of time to adapt to life at Barcelona.
"I think for the front guys we have to put as much pressure on the ball as possible because the problem is when players have time on the ball to pick the passes and to see what our backline is doing," he told TNT Sports.
"If they do have time then the backline have to adjust.
"But it's our way of playing, it brings an intensity to the game. I think when we play at this intensity it's difficult for teams to match us.

"For me it takes a little bit of learning to get used to because you can’t let them rest on the ball. Whoever is closest to the ball always has to put pressure. So it's a little bit different to what I'd done before. But this is the style of defence we play and when it works it's really good."
Since making the move to Barcelona in the summer, Rashford has played 32 games in all competitions, scoring 10 goals and providing 12 assists.
