Liverpool have reached an agreement to sign Sunderland defender Lutsharel Geertruida ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline, Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg has revealed.
The Reds have reportedly agreed a deal with the 'extraordinary' Dutch right-back and are now in direct contact with Sunderland, where Geertruida is on loan from RB Leipzig.
The Bundesliga side are not expected to stand in Liverpool’s way for Geertruida, whom the Reds are chasing after injuries to Jeremie Frimpong and Conor Bradley.
