The Los Angeles Lakers remain an option for James, but the Golden State Warriors, Dallas Mavericks, and Cleveland Cavaliers are also reportedly monitoring his situation.
This marks the first time since 2018 that James will enter the offseason as an unrestricted free agent.
James is earning $52.6 million this season and is set to turn 42 during the 2026-27 campaign.
At age 41, he is averaging 21.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 6.6 assists per game while playing 33.1 minutes per night.
Both his scoring average and playing time are the lowest they've been since his rookie season with Cleveland.
The Lakers are reportedly going to ask LeBron to take a "significant" pay cut next season if he wants to return.
