Right now, Chelsea fans are revelling in the form of Joao Pedro after the Brazilian scored once again for Liam Rosenior’s side in their comeback against West Ham on Saturday night.
Chelsea are famed for having a star striker with a big name, but for the last few years, the Blues have lacked that high-profile striker. Now, Pedro is showing all the signs that he could be that man.
Certainly, Chelsea feel they have got themselves a bargain in Pedro at £60m, especially now he is rated at £87m. But he has a long way to go to match the size of the strikers who have preceded him at Chelsea.
If you could sign any player before the transfer window closes, who would it be? ✍️

Hernan Crespo, Fernando Torres, Diego Costa, Didier Drogba, Andriy Shevchenko – they might not have all been a success at Chelsea but these are players with massive profiles. Costa has been discussing it.
The Chelsea striker Diego Costa rates higher than Thierry Henry
For many, Thierry Henry is the Premier League’s best-ever player. His grace, his speed, his strength and of course, his ability to open up his body and find the far corner is considered among the league’s best ever.
But on Sport Bible’s Tik Tok, Costa was asked to pick the better player when given some names. He picked Harry Kane over Alan Shearer, Luis Suarez over Kane. When asked for Drogba or Henry, he picked Drogba.

The stats: Didier Drogba v Thierry Henry
Interestingly, the duo both clocked up north of 300 appearances for their clubs, and yet, the two were only 29 appearances apart. Henry clocked up 370 games for the Gunners during his time in London.
Henry scored a whopping 226 goals in that time for the Gunners, scoring at a rate of more than one every two games. In that time, two Premier League titles, two FA Cup trophies and two Community Shields.

Meanwhile, Drogba only managed 157 goals for Chelsea but in 29 less games. However, Drogba’s trophy cabinet while in England is so much more impressive than Henry’s at Arsenal, winning 14 trophies.
A total of four Premier League titles compared to Henry’s two. Four FA Cup’s, two Henry’s two. Another four League Cups, and double the amount of League Cups. Then, of course, the 11-12 Champions League.
