Dennis Schroder is on the move once again.
As the NBA trade deadline approaches, the veteran guard's name started popping up in rumors this week, as the Sacramento Kings are staring at a potential fire sale.
Sure enough, Schroder will get dealt. According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Schroder has been included in a package deal, landing with the Cleveland Cavaliers. After the news broke late Saturday night, Schroder took to Instagram to send a two-word message to the Kings and their fan base.
"Thx Sacramento," Schroder wrote on his Instagram story, with a picture of himself in a Kings uniform.
What's Next for Schroder?
Getting traded is nothing new for the 32-year-old guard. Since entering the NBA in 2013, Schroder has played for 10 different teams. The Cavaliers become his 11th this season.
Just last year, Schroder started the season with the Brooklyn Nets. After appearing in 23 games, he was traded to the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors hoped that Schroder would be enough to move the needle for them, but then they went hunting for Jimmy Butler.
Once again, Schroder was moved. The veteran guard ended up on the Detroit Pistons after seeing the court for 24 games with the Warriors. In 28 games with the Pistons, Schroder averaged 10.8 points and 5.3 assists. During the playoffs, he produced 12.5 points per game, while knocking down 47 percent of his threes.
After a strong postseason showing, Schroder hit the free agency market with his stock up. He would sign a three-year, $44.4 million deal with the Kings, looking to become their full-time starter. Unfortunately, Schroder's experience with Sacramento didn't go as planned. He ended up starting just 14 of the 40 games he played with the Kings.

This year, Schroder has averaged 12.8 points while shooting 40 percent from the field. He produced 5.3 assists per game, while coming down with 3.1 rebounds per outing.
At this stage of the season, the Kings are at the bottom of the Western Conference. They have lost eight games in a row, and hold a 12-38 record. Schroder heads back to the Eastern Conference to join a 29-21 Cavaliers team. They are fifth in the East.
