The Celtics begin a busy week on Sunday with a home game against the Bucks.
After Sunday, the Celtics will also play on Tuesday at Dallas, Wednesday at Houston, Friday vs. Miami, and again next Sunday vs the Knicks.
Milwaukee is on a four-game losing streak. The Bucks have been playing while rumors swirl about star Giannis Antetokounmpo being traded before Thursday’s trade deadline.
Antetokounmpo is averaging 28.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 5.6 assists in 30 games this season but sustained a calf strain during a loss to the Nuggets on Jan. 23 and isn’t expected to play again until late February at the earliest.
The Celtics could have leading scorer Jaylen Brown back on Sunday after Brown sat out Friday night’s victory over the Kings with a sore hamstring. Brown was not listed on the Celtics’ injury report posted Saturday.
“It’s important that he gets the rest that he needs, and it’s important that we continue to grow and develop as a team,” coach Joe Mazzulla said. “Regardless of who’s in, who’s out, the expectation is to win.”
