Everton are finalising an initial loan deal to signChelsea winger Tyrique George, with an option to buy included.
The England Under-21 attacker is travelling to Merseyside to complete a medical before his proposed deadline-day move.
George is understood to have attracted interest from another Premier League club and one in Europe.
Chelsea have been open to selling the academy graduate since the summer because of limited first-team opportunities.
Fulham agreed a £22m deal to sign the 19-year-old in the summer but later pulled out to pursue wingers Kevin and Samuel Chukwueze.
Everton's move for George comes as England attacker Jack Grealish - who is on loan at the Toffees from Manchester City - "probably" needs surgery on a fractured foot and is set to be "out for the season", according to boss David Moyes.
George has scored six goals and provided six assists in 37 appearances since breaking into Chelsea's first team last season.
