Arsenal are reportedly exploring a potential loan deal to replace injured Mikel Merino ahead of tomorrow’s deadline.
The Athletic’s David Ornstein reports that Merino is expected to be sidelined for a significant period. This comes after a suspected broken bone in his foot.
This has prompted the club to dip into the transfer market. As a result, the Gunners are now exploring potential loan options as short-term cover for the midfielder.
However, there is no guarantee that any deal will be completed before deadline day.
