Liverpool have just reached an agreement to sign Rennes defender Jeremy Jacquet, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Reds are in the market for defensive reinforcements for the summer transfer window, with Ibrahima Konate out of contract later this year. It's unclear if Konate is going to depart, but the Merseyside outfit could do with extra bodies at the back even if he stays at the club for the 2026/2027 season.
As it stands, Arne Slot's side are having a bit of an injury crisis at the back, with Jeremie Frimpong, Joe Gomez, Conor Bradley, and Giovanni Leoni all on the treatment table. A deal for Jacquet isn't going to be until the summer transfer window, but it's an impressive addition for Liverpool nonetheless.
