The streak lives on.
There was some suspense this time, as LeBron James wasn't chosen as an All-Star starter. But the Los Angeles Lakers legend was chosen to the Western Conference roster as a reserve to extend his streak of being chosen to the All-Star Game.
He's now made it in 22 consecutive seasons.
Yes, that's a record.

James holds the NBA all-time record for points scored in All-Star Games, too, with 434.
Last season was the first time James was chosen but didn't play. He missed out due to injury.
James' Lakers teammate Luka Doncic had already been chosen as a Western Conference starter.
LeBron missed the start of the season as he dealt with sciatica on his right side, but since returning, the now 41-year old all-time great has been fantastic.
James is averaging 21.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and 6.6 assists per game while shooting 50.2% from the field.
Somehow, he still manages to rise up for huge, highlight-reel dunks.

He has done a good job of playing second fiddle to Doncic except when the Lakers need a changeup, and LeBron has proven he still can get the job done as the leading man on the floor, too.
The Lakers' lineups aren't necessarily perfect. They still have weirdly negative analytics when James and Doncic are on the floor together.
But LeBron continues to defeat Father Time. He's going to the All-Star Game again to prove it.
