Clippers' Kawhi Leonard snubbed from All-Star Game by LeBron James

Kawhi Leonard is averaging more points per game than he ever has in his career.

Despite that, the all-time great wasn't chosen to play in the All-Star Game in his home arena for the Los Angeles Clippers.

Reserves were announced Sunday, and Leonard wasn't among them.

And in all seriousness, Leonard was probably snubbed in favor of Lakers legend LeBron James.

James extends his streak of making the All-Star Game to 22 years in a row. Leonard misses out, at least until an injury might get him a spot.

Leonard is averaging 27.7 points per game this season.

The superstar is also leading the league in steals per game (2.1) and free-throw percentage (93.6).

Leonard adds averages of 6.1 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.

James is averaging fewer points (21.9) and rebounds (5.8) but more assists (6.6).

And while Leonard is known for his missing of games, he has played 34 games to LeBron's 30.

If we want to get analytical with it, Leonard has a better Player Efficiency Rating than James and a better Win Shares per 48 minutes metric.

There's nothing on paper that really puts James ahead of Leonard.

Now in reality, very few people will be upset that LeBron is at the All-Star Game. It'd be weird without him.

But Kawhi Leonard should be there, too.
