Bucks’ Doc Rivers makes a wild admission after Milwaukee scored just 79 points vs. Celtics

It is not getting any better for the Milwaukee Bucks. Their downward spiral continues, as they suffered yet another loss on Sunday, and it was in a truly embarrassing fashion.

The Bucks, who are stillwithout superstar power forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, absorbed a 107-79 lossat the hands of the Boston Celticsat TD Garden in Boston. Milwaukee looked every bit like a team that was truly missing its superstar, but scoring just 79 points was still unacceptable, with or without the two-time NBA Most Valuable Player in uniform.

After the game, Milwaukee head coach Doc Rivers admitted the obvious about his team’s offense.

“Couldn’t make shots. Listen, guys, it’s hard to create shots,” Rivers said after the game (h/tEric Nehm of The Athletic).

I thought Ryan (Rollins) was spectacular. Through the game, I thought he played well. I thought whenever we took him off the floor, Bobby (Portis) off the floor, the scoring came to a halt. It’s tough. Trying to get the ball movement and the spacing and getting guys time to get shots off, it’s very difficult. And we’re just going to keep working at it.

The Bucks had a pathetic showing on offense against the Celtics

Milwaukee shot just 29/82 from the field for a 35 percent shooting against the Celtics. Boston was not very efficient either with its shot (45 FG%), but the Celtics were plus-10 on field goal attempts.

They gave themselves more chances on offense by winning the possession battle, which was a reflection of how much more they wanted it than Milwaukee, which is now on a five-game losing streak.

Rollins led the Bucks with 25 points on 10/16 shooting.
