Caitlin Clark Has Strong Reaction When Compared to an NBA Player

Cailtin Clark is one of the best women’s basketball players on the planet, and by the time she’s done, might be considered the greatest of all time.

On NBC’s premiere of “Sunday Night Football” and as the NFL came to a close, Clark took center stage alongside the rest of the broadcast cast during the preshow and halftime.

The Indiana Fever superstar mixed it up with fellow Indianapolis legend Reggie Miller throughout the telecast, with the triple-double machine shining as a personality.

But things took a hilarious (or not, depending on your opinion) turn when Miller was asked to find a player comparison in the NBA for the superstar Clark.

“I like Payton Pritchard from Boston,” Reggie said, with Clark’s happy expression suddenly shifting into a blank look, eyes turned down. “The way he’s able to handle the basketball. He makes big shots when the shot clock is running down, a lot like this young lady right here.”

While sharpshooter Pritchard is an essential part of the Celtics’ success, averaging 17 points this season, he isn’t comparable to what Clark does in the WNBA as an all-around distributor for the Fever.

Pritchard isn’t a well-regarded passer like Clark and is seen much more as a pure shooter. The former Iowa Hawkeye has tried her best to prove she shouldn’t be seen as just a pure shooter, as her jaw-dropping point totals in college masked how she wants to play the game.

In her first two seasons, Clark is averaging 8.5 assists per game. Pritchard, through his first six seasons with the Celtics, is averaging 2.9, but to be fair to him, he has improved mightily in that category this season.

Fans online wondered why Miller didn’t use himself as the best comparison for Clark.

And after the reaction she gave to his answer tonight, Miller might be asking himself the same thing before he goes to bed on Sunday.
