Fiorentina will try until the very last minute to complete a deal to sign Tottenham defender Radu Dragusin on deadline day, according to reports in Italy.
Spurs have spent the January window strengthening the squad, bringing in midfielder Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid and young defender Souza from Santos, as Thomas Frank looks to recover from a poor start to his tenure and climb the Premier League table, while also being competitive in the Champions League having qualified for the knockout stages.
But after losing a host of players to injury this season, the manager's options are threadbare, and he now could lose another first-team star before the deadline later today.
Fiorentina Want Radu Dragusin

Dragusin, who made his first start in the Premier League since recovering from a serious knee injury during the 2-2 draw with Man City on Sunday, has now emerged as a target for Serie A side Fiorentina.
The Florence club made a move to sign the Romania international earlier in the window but were met with resistance from both Spurs and the player. However, with Fabio Paratici now set to join the club, he is pushing to take Dragusin with him as they look to avoid relegation from Italy's top flight, where they currently sit 18th in the table, one point adrift of safety.
Dragusin earns £106,000-a-week and wants to play regularly but currently finds himself behind Cristian Romero, Micky Van de Ven and Kevin Danso in the pecking order at centre-back, and a move to Fiorentina on deadline day has not been ruled out.
It's understood, via Sport Witness, that there is a 'glimmer of hope' in Italy that a deal could be completed, and they are expected to try and find an agreement with the north London side until the last minute of the window.
