Chelsea loanee Mamadou Sarr was in action on Sunday evening, and Paris Saint-Germain were the visitors.
There’s been a lot of speculation around Mamadou Sarr’s future at Strasbourg, and Chelsea have now decided to recall him from his loan
This all stems from the club identifying a central defensive issue. Levi Colwill is currently recovering from a long-term injury, whilst Tosin Adarabioyo is out for a few weeks.

Jeremy Jacquet is now set to join Liverpool instead, which makes a complete mockery of Chelsea’s progress over the past few weeks.
And Mamadou Sarr‘s performance against Paris Saint-Germain won’t make fans feel any better.
Mamadou Sarr played 89 minutes for Strasbourg in their 2-1 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.
He made 29 of his 32 passes, just one pass into the final third, two interceptions, one block, five recoveries, three clearances, two headed clearances and lost all four of his duels (FotMob).
GetFootballNewsFrance did the ratings for the clash and gave Sarr a 4 out of 10.
‘The Chelsea loanee might have played his final game with Strasbourg before his reported recall to the Blues. The AFCON winner with Senegal will rue his first-half mistake that led to Senny Mayulu’s opener.’
In an ideal world, who is walking through the door on Deadline Day?🤔

What can Mamadou Sarr bring to Chelsea?
The 20-year-old centre-back brings a massive physical presence, standing at 1.94m (6’4”), which is exactly what Chelsea needs to improve their aerial dominance and set-piece defending.
Sarr played a vital role in Senegal’s AFCON 2025 triumph last month, where he stepped in for the suspended Kalidou Koulibaly to help secure a clean sheet in the semi-final and eventually lift the trophy.
His transition into the first team should be seamless because he has already spent eighteen months working under Rosenior’s tactical system at Strasbourg. Sarr is elite at ball-playing, standing out as one of the best passing defenders in Ligue 1 this season.
