Jeremy Jacquet is flying to England this morning to undergo a medical with Liverpool.
The Reds have successfully hijacked Chelsea's move for the highly-rated Rennes defender.
And although Jacquet won't officially join until the summer, report he is expected in the North West today to finalise his switch.

David Datro Fofana will also be swapping Chelsea for Strasbourg today.
The Blues striker had been linked with Championship clubs earlier in the transfer window.
But Fabrizio Romano has just confirmed he'll be joining the Blues' sister club alongside defender Aaron Anselmino in a move nobody saw coming.
He's said to have snubbed interest from other French clubs and RCD Mallorca.

Wolves chase double striker deal
It could be a big day for the Premier League's bottom club, Wolves.
Rob Edwards' side are closing in on deal worth £9million in total for Adam Armstrong, but they also want to add Torino's Che Adams to their ranks.

Chelsea respond to Jacquet hijack
Chelsea have come to an agreement with Strasbourg to recall Mamadou Sarr in the wake of missing out on a deal for Jeremy Jacquet.
As revealed last night, the sought-after Jacquet is Anfield-bound despite heavy links to the Blues in recent days.
And Fabrizio Romano has confirmed Chelsea's response to that development is recalling Sarr from France.

Raheem Sterling could be the biggest name on the move today.

Arsenal target midfielder after Merino's injury
Arsenal are exploring a the possibility of signing a midfielder on loan after Mikel Merino was ruled out for 'an extended period'.
The Premier League leaders confirmed in a statement last night that 29-year-old Merino will have surgery on his broken foot.
It's understood that Arsenal are considering signing a replacement for the Spaniard before tonight's deadline.

Liverpool hijack Chelsea's move for Jacquet
Liverpool have stolen a march on Chelsea and agreed a deal worth up to £61million to sign Rennes centre-back Jeremy Jacquet.
The Reds will pay an initial £52m plus £9m in add-ons for Jacquet, 20, who'll join Arne Slot's side in the summer.
It comes after Liverpool missed out on signing on-loan Sunderland defender Lutsharel Geertruida from RB Leipzig.
