Deadline Day is upon us, and for Chelsea it looks like a day of exits on Monday as Liam Rosenior and the club sort out the futures of some of their out-of-favour players.
Jeremy Jacquet is joining Liverpool in the summer and a £26m bid has been rejected for Nantes player Tylel Tati. Any hope of midfield depth arriving at Stamford Bridge looks as good as over, as things stand.
Instead, the final day of the window looks set to be an opportunity for a handful of players to leave the club and find pastures new. Raheem Sterling has already been made a free agent by Rosenior’s side.
We had the whole of January to sign Jeremy Jacquet and come up short 😡
Who is to blame for this?!

Axel Disasi, David Datro Fofana, Jimi Tauriainen, and plenty of other Chelsea players could swap clubs by the end of the day. Another expected to complete a deadline day exit is defender Harry McGlinchey.
Harry McGlinchey set to join English club on a free transfer
Ireland U19 international McGlinchey has been on the books at Chelsea for almost four years since he joined the Blues from Plymouth in 2022. But McGlinchey has failed to break into the senior side.

This month, Chelsea’s only signing has been Yisa Alao from Sheffield Wednesday, another left-back that is likely to block McGlinchey’s path into the first team. Plenty of clubs have shown interest in McGlinchey.
Earlier this month, Pete O’Rourke reported that Wolves, Sheffield United and Birmingham City all wanted to sign McGlinchey. Now, O’Rourke has confirmed that Sheffield United are signing him on a free transfer.
He posted on X: “Sheffield United have agreed a deal for Chelsea left-back Harry McGlinchey. McGlinchey makes the move on a free transfer with a sell-on clause included.”
How long did McGlinchey have left on his Chelsea contract?
Interestingly, Chelsea seem to have foregone a transfer fee for the defender with 18 months still left on McGlinchey’s contract at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea are clearly happy to wait for a future fee for him.
In an ideal world, who is walking through the door on Deadline Day?🤔

Indeed, the inclusion of a sell-on clause means that should Sheffield United ever decide to sell the teen, Chelsea will rake in a percentage of that fee. Any fee will be a profit on the free transfer he is leaving for.
The specific percentage of that sell-on clause is unclear but the chances are, it is going to be around the 20% mark. Chelsea will be hoping that McGlinchey impresses at Bramall Lane and earns a big move.
