Crystal Palace have yet to replace Marc Guehi following his move to Premier League rivals Manchester City earlier in the window
Crystal Palace could be incredibly-busy on transfer deadline day with a number of incomings and exits set to be completed.
A medical has been booked for Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen after a club-record deal was agreed to get him to Selhurst Park. Jean-Philippe Mateta will hope to finalise his move to AC Milan as he undergoes final medical tests at the San Siro outfit.
Another signing on the Eagles’ radar before the 7pm deadline is a new centre-back.
One player the club is targeting is Club Brugge defender Joel Ordonez, as Palace look to secure a replacement for Marc Guehi after his move to Manchester City earlier in the transfer window.
He told the Redmen TV podcast: “The Ordonez one was parked, as you say. Parked, as in not completely shoved away, I got the impression.
“It was more of a, ‘not one right now,’ but it wasn’t a, ‘he’s not one ever.’ It’s clear Liverpool have been at Club Brugge games to watch him, so that could be one to consider.”
It is not yet clear if the Eagles will proceed with another bid or turn their attention to other targets. The 21-year-old defender has been capped 14 times by Ecuador and has been with Brugge since 2023. He extended his contract with the club back in September, with his new deal running until 2029.
